Recurrence of Soft Tissue Sarcomas After Surgical Treatment

Soft tissue sarcomas presented a treatment dilemma because of the high rates of recurrences and deaths observed post treatment. This occasioned the need to undertake a specific study, with specific objectives, to find out what was primarily responsible for the bad outcomes. From the results of this study, it is possible to come up with a paradigm shift, in the treatment protocols, right from the outset to the post treatment periods with an aim to improve the outcomes.
